Deadline for foreign observers extended to Dec 7

The Election Commission (EC) extended the application deadline for foreign organizations and journal-ists to observer the 12th Jatiya Sangsad election to 7 December as four organizations of 12 countries have so far applied till previously scheduled last date was Tuesday.
Election Commission’s additional secretary Ashok Kumar Debnath said around 30 observers of four or-ganizations representing 12 countries have so far applied.
Of them, 11 from African Electoral, four from South Asian Development Forum, five from Internation-al Republican Institute (IRI) of the US and four from European Union (EU). These number could in-crease, said Ashok.
