Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) yesterday forecasted rain in different parts of the country today.
“Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Khulna, Barishal & Chattogram divisions,” said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.
Besides, it said, moderately heavy to heavy falls may occur at places over the country.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The highest temperature was recorded on Friday was 34.5 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, while yes-terday’s minimum temperature was 23.7 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.
In the last 24 hours (till 06 am yesterday), the highest 61 millimetre rainfall occurred in Feni.
The sun sets at 6:13 pm yesterday and rises at 5:42 am today in Dhaka.
