Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) yesterday forecasted rain in different parts of the country today.
“Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh & Dhaka divisions,” said a Met office bulletin issued yesterday.
Besides, it said, moderately heavy to very heavy falls may occur at places over the country.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The highest temperature on Monday was recorded at 33.5 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat under Rangpur division, while yesterday’s minimum temperature was 23.9 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.
In the last 24 hours (till 06 am yesterday), the highest 183 millimeter rainfall occurred in Teknaf.
The sun sets at 6:29 pm yesterday and rises at 5:35 am today in Dhaka.
