Bangladesh’s young and skilled IT professionals can emerge as reliable partners in meeting Japan’s grow-ing technology sector workforce demand, Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan Md Daud Ali said yesterday.
He made the remarks at a seminar titled “AI-Driven Development Amplifying Talent Capacity in the Japanese Market” held at the Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo, according to a message received here.
The Bangladesh Embassy, Brain Station 23 and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) jointly or-ganised the seminar, bringing together leading Japanese system integrators and prominent representatives of the country’s technology sector.
Addressing the event, Ambassador Daud said Bangladesh has a vast pool of young and skilled profes-sionals capable of contributing to Japan’s rapidly evolving technology industry.
Building on the success of the B-JET program and the Miyazaki-Bangladesh Model framework, more than 2,000 Bangladeshi IT professionals are already working with Japanese companies and have earned a strong reputation for their performance, he said.
The ambassador urged Japanese technology companies to tap into Bangladesh’s large pool of promising young talent to help address the country’s growing demand for skilled IT professionals.
He said greater engagement of Bangladeshi professionals in Japan’s technology industry could further strengthen economic and people-to-people cooperation between the two countries.
JETRO Global Strategy Division Senior Director Yuji Ando and Sumitomo Corporation Director Taro Kawachi delivered special remarks on bilateral business opportunities and avenues for cooperation in-volving Japanese entrepreneurs.
Tatsuya Ishinaka, Managing Director of One Terrace Inc., presented an overview of current demand, opportunities and emerging trends in Japan’s technology market.
Representatives of Brain Station 23 Japan Yasufumi Kajiura and Raisul Islam conducted the technical session, highlighting the growing role of artificial intelligence in technology development.
Through practical case studies, they demonstrated how AI-based technologies could accelerate project implementation, improve quality and reduce costs.
Brain Station 23 representatives Kesho Cho and M J Ferdous delivered the closing remarks.
The seminar concluded with a networking session where participants and representatives of Japanese technology companies exchanged views and explored potential avenues for future cooperation.
