Four children died from suspected measles cases in the 24 hours till 8am on Friday morning, and no death from confirmed measles was reported over the same period.
The new deaths take the total death toll among children in the ongoing outbreak of measles and related symptoms to 670.
During 8am Thursday-8am Friday, 1,078 were diagnosed with measles symptoms, also known as suspected measles cases, and 96 others were diagnosed with confirmed measles infections.
Since 15 March, 90,982 people have been diagnosed with suspected measles and 10,869 others with confirmed measles.
Over the same period, 75,156 patients have been hospitalised owing to the outbreak, and among them 71,396 have returned home following recovery.
