According to local sources, Gouri’s daughter Dipti Adhikari, 48, wife of late Tarun Adhikari of Nagar-ghop area in neighboring Monirampur upazila, had come to visit her mother three to four days ago.
Dipti is reportedly mentally sick.
On Tuesday morning, Dipti’s brother-in-law Pabitra Adhikari, went to the house to take her back to her in-laws’ home. When he went upstairs, he found Gouri Rani lying dead on the floor, while Dipti was sitting naked in the bathroom nearby.
