Govt of 18 crore people from tomorrow, hopes Jamaat Ameer

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman on Thursday expressed hope that a government representing the country’s 18 crore people would be established from tomorrow.

“We want the government to belong to the people — not to any party, individual, or family,” he said.

“Beyond the boundaries of party, person, or family, we hope that a government of 18 crore people will be established from tomorrow,” he said

He made the remarks during a briefing at his main election office in the Dhaka-15 constituency at around 2:00pm.
