The Bangla Academy has announced that the Amar Ekushey Book Fair-2026 will begin on February 20 and continue till March 15.
The inaugural ceremony of the country’s largest annual literary event will take place at 11:00am.
The fair schedule was finalized at an emergency meeting held this afternoon at the Shaheed Munir Chowdhury Conference Room of Bangla Academy, a press release said.
Bangla Academy Director General Professor Mohammad Azam, Cultural Affairs Ministry Secretary Md. Mofidur Rahman, academy directors, Dhaka University Proctor Professor Saifuddin Ahmed, representa-tives of publishers and members of law enforcement agencies were present at the meeting.
