Bus catches fire in Badda

A running bus caught fire in the capital’s Badda area around 7:45pm on Friday night.

Two units of the fire service were dispatched immediately, but the flames were extinguished before they could arrive.

Rozina Akter, duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD), confirmed the incident.

She could not confirm the reason behind the fire or any potential casualty. The bus belonged to Dewan Paribahan, eyewitnesses said.
