The Netherlands Embassy in Dhaka and VFS Global has launched a new, state-of-the-art Netherlands Visa Application Centre in Banani to enhance visa services for Bangladeshi travelers.
Netherlands ambassador to Bangladesh Joris van Bommel yesterday inaugurated the centre that will fa-cilitate short-stay (C-category) and Caribbean visa applications from Bangladeshi citizens.
Applicants can book appointments online and submit applications at the new facility from November 2, said a press release here yesterday.
Ambassador van Bommel said the initiative reflects the Netherlands’ commitment to strengthening bilat-eral relations and people-to-people connectivity.
“Bangladesh continues to be an important partner for the Netherlands, with growing people-to-people, business, and educational exchanges,” he said adding “The new centre marks a key step in providing travelers with a convenient, efficient, and modern visa experience.”
VFS Global will handle administrative and biometric tasks only, while the Netherlands Ministry of For-eign Affairs in The Hague remains solely responsible for visa decisions.
Located at Borak Mehnur, Level 7, 51/B Kemal Ataturk Avenue, Banani, Dhaka-1213, the centre oper-ates Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm.
