CJ urges all to uphold Prophet’s ideals of justice and humanity

Staff Reporter:

Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed has called upon all to embrace the humanitarian teachings of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and to uphold his ideals of justice in both personal and social life.

In a message on the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, to be observed on Saturday (6 September), the Chief Justice said the Prophet’s example of impartiality, courage and moral firmness in delivering justice remains highly relevant today.

He stressed that justice is the fundamental right of all people, not limited to any individual, and must be ensured equally regardless of social status, wealth or power.

The Chief Justice noted that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) established exemplary values of magnanimity, tolerance, honesty and dedication, which should serve as guiding principles in modern times. He urged members of the judiciary to see justice not only as a professional responsibility but also as a moral commitment.

Referring to Bangladesh’s multi-religious and multicultural character, he recalled the Prophet’s Charter of Medina as a model of communal harmony, tolerance and coexistence. He said these lessons are particularly relevant for building a peaceful, prosperous and justice-based society in the country.

On the occasion, the Chief Justice urged all to reject discrimination, injustice and hatred, and to work from their respective positions for the establishment of social justice.
