Govt. approves DPM proposal for civic services

The government has approved a proposal in principle on condition for implementing the civic services operations through the Direct Procurement Method (DPM) at division and district levels.
The approval came from the 28th meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Economic Affairs for this year held yesterday. Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed virtually presided over the meeting.
The day’s meeting approved another proposal from the Health Services Division for supplying uninter-ruptedly the GeneXpert Cartridge under DPM method for detecting Tuberculosis patients under the Na-tional Tuberculosis Control Program till June, 2026.
The meeting also okayed two separate proposals from the Ministry of Housing and Public Works for implementing the civil part and (E/M part) of the ‘July Uprising Memorial Museum’ under the OTM method to implement as delegated works.
