The admission exams for the 2022-23 academic year at 22 cluster universities will be based on the condensed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) syllabus.
Prof Imdadul Haque, the joint convener of the Cluster Admission Test Coordination Committee and vice-chancellor of Jagannath University (JU), confirmed the matter on Friday.
“Instructions have been given to set the admission test questions according to the HSC’s condensed syllabus. The admission exam will be based on the same syllabus used for the board exams, and no questions will be from outside the syllabus,” he said.
He further added: “This time, the admission test will be out of 100 marks. Students must pass by scoring at least 30 marks. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.”
The upcoming combined admission exams for the humanities division will be held on May 20, for the commerce division on May 27, and for the science division on June 3.
The results are expected to be published by June 8.
