At least two dead reported from Dengue and 386 new in the past 24 hours till Wednesday morning, with most patients seeking treatment in Barishal region.
During the period, 106 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division alone, which appeared to have been the worst victim of the mosquito carried diseases, a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said.
It said among the rests, 64 were hospitalized in Chattogram division, 62 in Dhaka division excluding the capital, 49 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and 29 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas, 23 in Khulna division, five in Mymensingh division, 45 in Rajshahi division and three in Rangpur Division.
Since the start of the dengue onslaughts Bangladesh this year witnessed so far 81 deaths while the disease inflicted 20,702.
The DGHS, however, said 378 patients were discharged from different hospitals across the country after their recovery.
The dengue last year claimed 575 lives and infected 1,01,214 people in the country.
