The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in a special operation has arrested 186 suspected criminals in different parts of the capital in the past 24 hours till early Wednesday.
The DMP in a statement has reiterated commitment to ensuring the overall safety and smooth movement of the people of Dhaka Metropolitan areas.
Police in 86 operations across the DMP arrested 186 crime suspects, said the statement.
Among the arrested are one robber, five thieves, 13 drug dealers, two fraudsters and 12 warranted ac-cused as well as criminals involved in other crimes.
Eleven mobile phones used in various crimes, a bus and cash of Tk 13,180, 1.40kg of marijuana, 1,065 pieces of Yaba, 74 bottles of Phensedyl and one gram of heroin were seized during the operation.
