Mymensingh: Police on Tuesday arrested the prime accused in a case filed in connection with the recov-ery of the throat-slit bodies of a mother and her two young children in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh district.
The arrest was made in neighboring Gazipur district, police said.
The arrestee was identified as Nazrul Islam, younger brother of Rafiqul Islam and brother-in-law of the killed Moyna.
Tipped off, a team of police arrested Nazrul from Joydebpur Railway Platform around 5 pm, said Hu-mayun Kabir, officer-in-charge of Bhaluka Model Police Station.
Earlier on Monday, police recovered the bodies of Moyna Akter, 25, wife of Rafiqul Islam and her two young children— Raisa, 7, and son Nirob, 2, inside their rented home in Bhaluka upazila of My-mensingh district.
Zahirul Islam, brother of Moyna, filed a case against Nazrul with Bhaluka Police Station.
