Sohag killing case
2 more accused remanded

A Dhaka court yesterday placed Alamgir and Monir, accused arrested over the gruesome killing of scrap metal trader Lal Chand Md Sohag in Dhaka’s Mitford area, on a four-day remand for each.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sefatullah passed the order as police produced the duo before the court and pleaded to place them on a seven-day remand each.
Separate courts on July 10 had placed Mahmudul Hasan Mahin on a five-day remand and Titon Gazi on a five-day remand on July 12 respectively in the case.
Earlier on July 9 last, Lal Chand Mohammad Sohag, 39, was hacked, beaten and stoned to death near a gate of Sir Salimullah Medical College Mitford Hospital.
His sister Monjuara Begum filed the case the next day.
