Former prime minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia attended a family function at the home of her younger brother, Shamim Iskander, on Saturday night.
This marks the first time in a while that the BNP leader has participated in a family gathering outside her Gulshan residence.
Shamsuddin Didar, a member of the BNP chairperson’s press wing, confirmed the attendance of Khaleda Zia at the event.
Khaleda Zia returned to Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon after four months of medical treatment in London. Upon arrival, she went directly to her Gulshan residence, Feroza, accompanied by her two daughters-in-law, Zubaida Rahman and Syeda Shamila Rahman.
Since her return, the BNP chief has been resting at home, with her physicians regularly monitoring her health. They visited her Gulshan residence on Tuesday and Wednesday nights for health check-ups.
