Leading Bangladeshi medical and personal protective equipment (MPPE) companies showcased their innovations at Medtec Japan 2025, a premier international medical device exhibition held from 9–11 April at Tokyo Big Sight.
Bangladesh was represented at Pavilion No. 2304 in Halls 2 and 3 under the banner “Meet Bangladesh” by companies including Nereene Karuponya, Robolife Technology, Farseeing Knite Composite–Shangu Group, Bibeat Technologies Ltd, and Datasoft Manufacturing & Assembly Inc Ltd.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of Md Daud Ali, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan, and Morarjee Deshai Barman, Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy.
The “Meet Bangladesh Show” was introduced under the Export Competitiveness for Jobs (EC4J) Project, implemented by the Ministry of Commerce and financed by the World Bank. The initiative aims to promote Bangladesh’s growing MPPE sector and strengthen its presence in global markets by positioning the country as a reliable sourcing destination.
Organisers said the sector holds significant growth potential, especially with the development of biodegradable MPPE products using jute and other sustainable materials, supported by a skilled workforce and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
