Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said combined patrolling of the joint force will be enhanced in those areas where law and order situation has been deteriorated.
“The patrolling of the joint force will be enhanced as much as possible and it will come into effect from this evening,” he told journalists following a core committee meeting chaired by Home ad-viser Lt Gen (retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury at Home Ministry’s conference room yesterday af-ternoon.
The patrolling will be held jointly where police, army, navy and BGB will take part together, he said.
Shafiqul Alam said check post will be installed in many places including the capital to monitor the law and order.
Surveillance of the intelligence agencies would also be strengthened, he said adding more than one hundred motorbikes will be allotted for police so that they can reach to the place of occurrence quickly.
Responding to a question from journalists, the Press Secretary said report has been sought from police super and administration on the situation of Cox’s bazaar.
“Detailed could be known after receiving the report,” he said adding the government has given some instruction to keep the law and order normal.
Law and order situation will be improved soon, he said.
