“The ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ will continue until the ‘devils’ are exposed to justice. Not a single devil should be left out during ‘Operation Devil Hunt’,” he said while speaking to reporters after inaugu-rating the new Soil Building at the Soil Resources Institute in the city’s Farmgate area.
The Home Affairs Adviser said that the operation will continue targeting those who will destabilize the country.
Asked who the devils are, he said those involved in making the country unstable and disobeying the law and the anarchists are devils.
Replying to a question about the measures taken against those involved in the attack on the stu-dent-people in Gazipur, he said, “Many of those who attacked the students and the public in Gazi-pur have been brought to book. The rest will soon be exposed to justice.”
About arrest of five senior police officers, the adviser said that the crimes of those who have been arrested are known to the countrymen.
Later at a press briefing in the afternoon, Senior Secretary of the Home Ministry Nasimul Ghani said the joint forces’ “Operation Devil Hunt” is aimed at arresting those trying to make the country unstable.
“Our target is to neutralise the pockets from where attempts are being made to destabilise the country…. The operation will continue as long as necessary,” he said while replying to a question in the press briefing over the “Operation Devil Hunt” at the conference room of the Home Ministry at the Secretariat here.
He said they have briefed all the forces so that they can carry out the operation in a focused way by maintaining the law and order and protecting the human rights.
The government has decided to conduct the ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ following a meeting held at the Home Ministry on Saturday to maintain the law and order and bring to book those who are in-volved in destabilizing the country.
This operation began yesterday (Saturday) in Gazipur and elsewhere across the country.
