Govt urges not to buy train tickets on social net sites

The Railways Ministry has called upon all not to purchase railway tickets on the social networking sites.
“Don’t be cheated by purchasing train tickets from social networking sites,” the Railways Ministry yesterday said in a precautionary message.
The ministry said nowadays an organized gang is selling fake train tickets by opening different ac-counts, groups and pages through advertisements on social networking sites.
“Many people are being cheated in this way,” it said.
The ministry called upon all to purchase the inter-city railway tickets through its app.
The ministry said tough legal actions are being taken against black marketing of the tickets.
