Students will get new textbooks by February: Press Secy

hief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam on Thursday said students of all levels will receive new textbooks within February and the interim government is working on the issue.

“Although the book festival was usually held on 1 January during the Awami League regime, students would get new books after three to four months. This time, textbooks will be available to everyone by February,” he said at a press conference at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka.

Shafiqul also said textbooks will be distributed among students on 1 January from the next year.

The government has directed the authorities concerned to resolve the waterlogging problem in Chattogram as soon as possible, the press secretary said.
