Nurul Haque Nur, president of a faction of Gono Odhikar Parishad, said that the owners of the factories have to give a portion of profit to the workers of the respective factories.
“The owner will gain sky high while the workers die of hunger, this will not be allowed. There must be a limit to profit. A minimum portion of the annual dividend must be distributed among the workers in every factory. The Sramik Odhikar Parishad will work towards that goal,” he said.
Nur, also the former VP of DUCSU, came up with the statement while addressing a workers’ rally organised by Sramik Odhikar Parishad at Konabari Degree College ground in Gazipur city on Friday afternoon.
“The students had a great role in the anti-discrimination movement. In response, the new generation of students in Bangladesh will build a new Bangladesh through the new leadership of the future. The university and college student sangsad is the place to create leadership,” he added.
Nurul Haque Nur also demanded to organise elections in all student sansad across the country soon.
