Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to moderate rains across the country today.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over Chattogram, Barishal and Sylhet divisions,” a Met office bulletin said yesterday.
The axis of monsoon troughs runs through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar,West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh.
One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay.
Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay.
Day and night temperature may fall by 1-2°C over the country.
