Inu, Menon, Palak, ex-IGP Mamun sent to jail after remand

A Dhaka court on Thursday sent Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) president Hasanul Haq Inu, Workers Party president Rashed Khan Menon, ex-state minister for ICT Junaid Ahmed Palak and ex-IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun to jail on the expiry of their remand period.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saifur Rahman passed the order after a hearing.

Inu was produced before the court after the end of 16 days of remand in the three phases, Menon after 11 days of remand in two phases, Palak after 23 days of remand in three phases, and Mamun after the end of 8-day remand.

A petition was also filed to show all of them arrested in a murder case filed with Khilgaon Police Station.
