4 more murder cases filed against Hasina in Dhaka

Four more cases, including three on charge of killings during quota reform movement, were filed against ousted Prime Minister Hasina with different police stations in Dhaka yesterday.
Two separate courts of Dhaka asked Khilgaon, Ashulia and Mugda police stations to register the cases against Sheikh Hasina allegedly for ordering to kill a grocer, a teenage boy, a City University student and a lawyer.
The lawyer, however, survived the gun attack.
Former road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader was implicated in three cases, while former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and former inspector general of police Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun were accused in all the four cases.
In the case filed with Khilgaon police station over shooting dead a grocer Mizanur Rahman at Banasree area in the capital city on August 5 against 31 persons including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her sister Sheikh Rehana, son Sajeeb Wazed Joy, and daughter Saima Wazed Putul made accused.
Others accused in the case are: Obaidul Quader, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, Hasanul Haq Inu, Rashed Khan Menon, Amir Hossain Amu, Barrister Sayedul Haque Sumon, Chowdhury Abdulah Al Mamun, Habibur Rahman, Syed Nurul Islam, Harun-Ur-Rashid, Biplab Kumar Sarker, Saddam Hossain and Barrister Sazzad Hossain.
Filed by Arisha Afroz, mother of a 14-year boy Ashiqul Islam, who was shot to death at Banosree area under Khilgaon Police Station on July 19, filed another murder case against 27 persons including Sheikh Hasina, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Abdullah Al Mamun, Harun-Ur-Rashid and Biplab Kumar Sarker.
The case, which was registered with Ashulia Police Station for shooting to death a second semester BSC textile student of the City University Sazzad Hossain Sajal, 19, against 22 people including Sheikh Hasina, Obaidul Quader, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Abdullah Al mamun, Harun-Ur-Rashid, Biplab Kumar Sarker and Habibur Rahman.
According to the case details, Sajal along with thousands of people were demonstrating at Baipail area under Ashulia Police Station on August 5 last.
Police fired indiscriminately at the protest rally and arrested many of them, including Sazzad. Police shot dead Sajal after torturing him inhumanly at the police station. Later, a gang of seven to eight per-sons set fire to the bodies of Sajal and some others.
The bodies were kept in Leguna used by police in front of the police station aimed at disappearing those.
Another case was lodged against 59 persons including Sheikh Hasina by a lawyer Abdul Based Shamim with Mugda Police Station, on charges of making an attempt to shot him to death at Maniknagar area on July 18 by members of law enforcement agencies and leaders of Awami League and its front bodies while he was returning home from the court.
Others who were implicated in the case are: Obaidul Quader, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif, Hasan Mahmud, Nazmul Hasan Papon, AFM Bahaudin Nasim, Dr Dipu Moni, Biplap Barua, Abdus Sobhan Golap, Mohammad Ali Arafat, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Sheikh Fazle Shams Parosh, Mainul Hossain Nikhil, Ferdous Ahmed, Barrister Sayedul Haque Sumon, Kazi Salahuddin, Taksim Ahmed Khan, Chwdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, Habibur Rahman, Saddam Hossain, Sheikh Wali Asif Inan, Mazharul Kabir Shyon and Tanvir Hasan Saikat.
