30 police officers promoted to SP

The government has promoted a total of 30 Additional Superintendents of Police (Additional SPs) to the rank of the Superintendent of Police (SPs).
Public Security Division of the Home Ministry has issued a gazette notification in this regard yesterday.
The officers promoted to the rank of SP are- Mir Ashraf Ali of Barishal Range DIG office, Kazi Mu-hammad Shafi Iqbal of Dhaka Police Staff College, Md Nazmul Hossain of Tourist Police, Dr Md Al-Mamunul Ansari of CID, Sardar Mohammad Abdul Mabud of Bangladesh Police Academy, Mohammad Zahidul Hasan of CID, Mohammad Osman Gani of PBI, Mohammad Taherul Haq Chauhan of Tourist Police, Md Abul Kalam Azad of PBI, Mohammad Sharif Uddin of Rangpur PTC, Md Shamim Hossain of RAB, Asfiquzzaman Akhtar of CID, Raihan Uddin Khan of Anti-Terrorism Unit, Rezaul Haque Khan of Police Academy and Ahmed Mueed of police headquarters.
Besides, Sarwar Jahan of PBI, Shah Mamtazul Islam of Railway Police, Sheikh Zainuddin of APBN, Abul Fazal Muhammad Tariq Hossain Khan of Industrial Zone Police, Muhammad Shamsul Alam Sarkar of Highway Police, Md Mahfuzur Rahman of Tangail PTC, Pratyush Kumar Majumder of CID, Shamima Parveen of Police Department, Marufat Hussain of CID, Md Mortoza Ali Khan of River Po-lice, Md Touhidul Arif of Tourist Police, Md Abu Tarek of River Police, Shahriar Al Mamun of Sylhet SMP, Ziauddin Ahmed of CID and Md Rezaul Karim of Rangpur RRF have been promoted.
The notification also stated that the order will be effective from the date of joining.
