Describing the current regime as fascist and murderous, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has called upon Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to step down from power immediately without shedding any more blood in the country.
“Just step down by stopping the killing spree, suppression and oppression and accept the students’ demands without delaying any moment, taking any life, shedding any blood and creating any conflict in the country,” he said, pointing finger at the prime minister.
He also called upon the members of law enforcement agencies not to fire any shot at the agitating students and people following the government instruction.
Fakhrul claimed that the law enforcement agencies detained students illogically and demanded their immediate unconditional release.
The entire nation went on a mass upsurge and it will not be daunted by unleashing a ring of terror, the BNP leader said in a statement this evening following the barbaric attacks of the pro-government people on the agitating students.
