Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers in all divisions including Dhaka of the country in 24 hours commencing 9am on Friday.
Meanwhile, Dhaka experienced 60mm of rainfall for the last three hours starting 6am. The country’s highest 309 mm of rainfall was recorded in Cox’s Bazar in 24 hours till 6am on Friday.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions; at many places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office update.
Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over the country, according to the BMD.
The country’s highest temperatures were recorded in Khulna at 36.2 degree Celsius over the past 24 hours till 6 am Friday while the lowest temperature was in Bandarban at 23 degree Celsius.
Meanwhile, the monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
