A Dhaka court on Thursday ordered authorities to seize 23.67 acres of land, Tk13.5 crore, four flats and other properties belonging to National Board of Revenue (NBR) official Md Motiur Rahman and his family members.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Mohammad Ash-Shams Jaglul Hossain gave the order in response to an application by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), ACC court inspector Amir Hossain confirmed.
The immovable properties ordered to be seized include 23.67 acres of land in Savar, Mymensingh, Gazipur, Narsingdi and Natore and four flats in the capital’s Mirpur area.
The court also ordered freezing 116 separate bank accounts holding Tk13.5 crore and 23 BO accounts in the stock market.
