Miscreants loot Tk29.40 lakh from IFIC Bank in Bogura

Miscreants looted Tk 29.40 lakh from the IFIC Bank’s Matidhali branch in Sadar Upazila of Bogura on Thursday.

Saihan Oliullah, officer-in-charge of Bogura Sadar Police Station, said that the bank officials left office on on Wednesday evening, keeping the money in the vault.

However, on Thursday morning, the officials found the vault open and Tk 29,40,618 missing.

There was no security guard at the bank, which is located on the top floor of a two-storey building, said the OC.

On information, police visited the scene to conduct an initial investigation.

However, no complaint has yet been lodged, said the police officer.
