Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Dhaka, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions, the Met office said in a forecast on Thursday.
Night temperature may rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius over Chattogram division and it may fall slightly elsewhere over the country. Day temperature is likely to drop slightly as well.
Trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area, and seasonal low lies over the south Bay, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
The highest 23mm of rainfall was recorded at Hatiya in Noakhali in the past 24 hours until 6am on Thursday.
The country’s maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 34 degrees Celsius at Mongla in Bagerhat, while Thursday’s minimum temperature 15.6 degrees Celsius was recorded at Rajarhat in Kurigram.
