2 buses torched after biker crushed at Ashulia

A Correspondent:

Savar: Two buses were set on fire after a motorcyclist was sandwiched dead between them in Savar’s Ashulia on Sunday.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The accident occurred at Ashulia’s Jirabo area on the Abdullapur-Bypail highway. According to witness-es, the Bypail-bound motorcyclist died after being stuck between two buses racing to overtake each oth-er. Later, agitated people set both buses on fire and blocked the road.
On information, fire service and police rushed to the sport and doused the fire.
At least five people were injured in the incident, according to the police.
Kamruzzaman, officer-in-charge at Ashulia Police Station, said the body of the deceased was recovered by the police. Efforts are underway to identify the deceased, the OC said. A case was filed in this regard.
