Boat only symbol of dev: Whip

Staff Reporter:

Jatiya Sangsad Whip Iqbalur Rahim yesterday said ‘Boat’ is the only symbol of development in the coun-try, so the countrymen should cast their vote in favor of Awami League candidates.
“The Awami League government has ensured peace, development, security and food for all,” he told a view-exchange meeting with rice mill owners and workers in Dinajpur District.
Iqbalur Rahim said reaching electricity to every house in the country has been a landmark achievement of the incumbent government.
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had given independence to the Bengali na-tion and his worthy daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given economic freedom.
The boat is the only path of development and prosperity in the country, he said. He hoped that the coun-trymen will cast their vote in favor of AL electoral symbol ‘boat’.
The Jatiya Sangsad Whip said an Economic Zone and Sheikh Kamal IT Nagar are being constructed in Dinajpur which will create employment opportunities for thousands of people in the region.
The BNP has become isolated from the people for their terrorist activities, he added.
District rice mill owners president Mosaddak Hossain presided over the meeting and its joint general secretary Ajizul Iqbal Chowdhury conducted it.
Besides, Dinajpur Municipality acting Mayor Abu Tayeb Ali Dulal, Dinajpur Chamber president Reza Humayun Faruque chowdhudy, Dinajpur District Awami League vice-president Faridul Islam and Di-najpur Press Club general secretary Golam Nabi Dulal, among others, spoke in the meeting.
