Narail: Narail-2 Awami League candidate for the 12th Parliamentary Election, Mashrafe bin Mortaza MP, has said that the future of the next generation depends on the January 7 election.
“This is not just an election, the future of the next generation depends on this election on January 7,” the former cricket star said, addressing a street rally at Ragurathpur Primary School grounds in Ghoshbari on Monday morning. The school is near the Dattapara bus stand in Auria Union of Narail Sadar.
“Go to the polling centre with all the family members and vote for boat. Your duty is till January 7. I will take all responsibility for you and your future generations from January 8. This much I promise you,” the former Bangladesh captain, renowned as a natural leader of men among peers, pleaded.
“Many mega projects are still underway, those should not stop. In the last five years, I have been with you and tried to develop as much as possible,” he said, directly addressing the voters.
Later, he held further rallies at Fedi Bazar, Chalitatala Bazar and Ratdanga Bazar of Chandibarpur Un-ion.
Auria UP Chairman SM Palash, Chandibarpur Union Chairman Azizur Rahman and leaders and workers of district, upazila and union Awami League and associate organizations were present at the time.
