3 cars torched over death of housemaid in city

Three private cars and a motorcycle were torched at a garage in house of Banasree in the city over the death of a housemaid yesterday morning.
The deceased was identified as house maid Asma Begum, 45.
Being informed, two fire-fighting units and Rampura Police Station OC went to the spot.
Three police members, including OC Moshiur Rahman, were injured as angry residents threw brickbats to them.
According to Rampura Police, a police team went to the spot after receiving a call 999 that a housemaid has died falling off from building. But before police, locals gathered in front of the house hearing the news. When police tried to recover the body, local people barred them. Then additional police force has been deployed to control the situation.
Police are investigating the incident.
