Benapole: Police have recovered the bodies of a couple from their rented house at Bahadur village in Benapole yesterday.
The deceased were identified as Md Yameen Hossain, 28, and Tonu, 24.
After being informed, members of the Benapole Port Police Station recovered the bodies on Friday morning.
Sumon Bhakta, officer-in-charge of Benapole Port Police Station, confirmed the matter.
In the morning, locals heard a child crying inside the house, and upon looking through the window, they discovered the couple’s bodies hanging from the ceiling, according to police.
“The bodies were sent to the Jashore General Hospital mortuary for autopsy,” said OC Sumon.
Yameen has a poultry business. He sold his house due to debt and started living in the rented house a week ago. The couple has a six-month-old son.
