Judgment in war crimes case against 7 Thu

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT-1) yesterday set November 30 to pronounce judgment in a crimes against humanity case against seven alleged Razakars from Bagerhat.
Confirming the news ICT registrar Mesbah Uddin Ahmed said Justice Md Shahinur Islam, chairman of the three-judge panel of the ICT-1, set the date through a short order yesterday morning.
Of the seven accused, Khan Akram Hossain, Sheikh Md Ukiluddin and Md Mokbul Mollah, who are in jail now, will be produced before the tribunal today.
The other four accused, Khan Ashraf Ali, Rustam Ali Mollah, Sheikh Idris and Sheikh Rafiqul Islam alias Babul were tried in absentia.
On August 1, 2018, the tribunal framed seven charges of crimes against humanity against 11 accused in the case. Names of the four accused have been dropped from the case as they have already died.
