Preventing sabotage, propaganda AL’s main target: Quader

Staff Reporter:

Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader yes-terday said that the main objective of AL is to prevent destruction and stop spreading propaganda center-ing the upcoming general polls, slated to be held on January 7, 2024.
“The main target of Awami League is to prevent subversion and propaganda ahead of elections,” he told reporters after the meeting of the sub-committee, formed over the 12th national election, at the Dhaka district unit of AL office in the city’s Tejgaon area.
Noting that no attempt will be successful to make election questionable, Quader said the election has come, and some flowers have already started blooming.
“More flowers will bloom. Hundreds of flowers will bloom until the submission of the nomination pa-pers for the next general elections to the Election Commission officially. So, there is no reason to be worried about it,” he added.
AL General Secretary said that the election manifesto of the Awami League has been finalized.
“There is no need to be worried about foreign countries. They are busy with Hamas-Israel and Russia-Ukraine wars,” he said.
Mentioning that Sheikh Hasina’s strength is the people of Bangladesh, he said this has become more visi-ble after the announcement of the election schedule.
Bangladesh gained independence under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mu-jibur Rahman, Quader said, adding that new history will be created in Bangladesh again under the lead-ership of Bangabandhu’s worthy daughter and pro-people leader Sheikh Hasina.
Kazi Zafar Ullah, co-chairman of the election conducting committee for the 12th general election, pre-sided over the meeting of the election management sub-committee.
