Boy killed in elephant attack in C’nawabganj

Chapainawabganj: A 12-year-old boy was killed after two wild elephants attacked him in Chapainawabganj on Wednesday.
The incident happened in Manikra area of Nezampur union of Nachol upazila of the district on Wednes-day morning.
The deceased was identified as Mufassir of Lakshmipur area, Nachol Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mintu Rahman confirmed the matter.
Mufassir was seriously injured after two wild elephants attacked him in a mango orchard at Manikra area around 7:30am on Wednesday, said the OC.,
Locals rescued him and took him to Nachol Upazila Health Complex, where duty doctor declared him dead, said the police of official.
Locals caught one of the elephants and the Rajshahi office of the Forest Department has been informed to deal with the situation.
