UP chairman dies after being hit by train

Benapole (Jashore): Chairman of Godkhali Union Parishad died after being hit by a train at Syedpara in Jhikargacha upazila of Jashore district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Shahjahan Ali, president of Gadkhali union unit Awami League.
Sheikh Anarul Islam, a member of the union parishad, said local people spotted the body of Shahjahan near Syedpara rail track around 6 am and informed police.
Shahjahan used to go out for morning walk and he might have died after being hit by a train while re-turning to his home, said Anarul.
