Bangladesh recorded four more deaths with measles-like symptoms and 1,306 new suspected cases in the past 24 hours, the health authorities said on Thursday.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 86 cases of measles were confirmed between 8am Wednesday and 8am Thursday, with no confirmed deaths during the same period.
The DGHS said that since 15 March, the total number of confirmed measles cases has stood at 22,926, while suspected cases have reached 209,876.
During the same period, 104 people died from confirmed measles, while 1,077 deaths were reported among suspected cases, bringing the total number of fatalities to 1,181.
Besides, a total of 178,869 patients have recovered so far, the DGHS said.
