DHAKA, Oct 7:The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) today approved a proposal to determine a levelized tariff for electricity purchase from the 400-megawatt combined-cycle (East) power plant established by Ashuganj Power Station Company Limited (APSCL).
The approval came from this year’s 48th meeting of the CCGP held at the Cabinet Division in the capital, with Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury in the chair.
The proposal was placed by the Power Division based on the revised Tariff Structure (Reference Tariff) for the Ashuganj 400MW Combined Cycle (East) power plant.
According to the proposal, the reference tariff was set at US Cents 3.700 per kilowatt-hour, equivalent to TK 4.5436 per kwh.
The CCGP recommended approval of the proposal, with Ashuganj Power Station Company Limited as the recommended rate party.
