A 14-month-old girl died after falling from a second-floor staircase at Sattola slum in the capital’s Ba-nani area on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Khadija Akter, daughter of Dulal Hossain, who works as a cleaner.
Dulal said Khadija’s mother was busy with household work in the morning when the child accidentally fell from the second-floor staircase.
