Father, son killed in Madaripur road accident

Madaripur: A 60-year-old man and his son were killed when a covered van hit a three-wheeler on Mada-ripur-Shariatpur regional highway at Mather Bazar in Sadar upazila of Madaripur district on Tuesday evening.
The deceased were identified as Mahadeb Pal and his son Mithun Pal, 28, of Tekerhat village in the upazila.
The accident occurred in the evening when the covered van hit a three-wheeler while the father and son were heading to Madaripur, leaving them dead on the spot, said Salauddin Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.
On information, police recovered the bodies and arrested the covered van driver.
