The current total number of voters is 128,777,643 and of them, 65,510,665 are male, 63,265,711 fe-male and 1,267 third-genders ahead of the next local government elections.
“We are preparing for the local government elections based on the voter registrations completed up to July 31. According to the final voter list, the current number of voters is 128,777,643,” Election Commission (EC) Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed told a press briefing at Agargaon Nirbachan Bha-ban yesterday.
Ahmed said the number of voters has increased by 454,403 from the preliminary figure he had pro-vided on May 14 last.
“We will go to the local government elections with this voter list,” he added.
