Two children drown in Chuadanga

A Correspondent:

Chuadanga: Two children drowned while plucking water lilies at a canal in Chuadanga’s Alamdanga upazila on Monday afternoon.
Sabbir Hossain, 8, was son of Babul Hossain of Bandvita village and Hossain, 7, was son of Rana Mia of the same village.
Bholul, uncle of the deceased Sabbir, said that his nephew and Babul drowned while plucking water lil-ies in the roadside canal on Monday afternoon.
When they could not be found anywhere, family members of the children started searching for them. At one point, they found the bodies of the two children in the canal around 4 pm, he added.
An unnatural death case has been lodged in this connection, Biplab Kumar Nath, officer-in-charge (OC) of Alamdanga police station said.
