Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman said that government service is not merely a profession; it is an important opportunity to serve the people.
“When an officer performs his or her duties with honesty, dedication, competence and a strong sense of responsibility throughout their career, it not only strengthens government institutions but also plays a vital role in ensuring better services for the people,” he said.
The law minister said these while addressing a farewell reception as the chief guest at Bangladesh Secretariat yesterday afternoon, organized by the Law and Justice Division for recently promoted officials and those proceeding on post-retirement leave.
Md Asaduzzaman said the success of a ministry does not depend solely on the minister, secretary or senior officials; rather, a ministry can function successfully only when every officer and employee properly performs their respective duties.
Congratulating the promoted officials, the Law Minister said promotion is not only a matter of joy and pride for officials but also brings greater responsibilities.
“The officials must perform their duties in their new positions with greater dedication, efficiency and professionalism. Officials of the Law and Justice Division have an important role to play in meeting the expectations of the people,” he said.
Thanking the officials who are proceeding on post-retirement leave after long careers for their expe-rience and contributions, he said their dedication to duty and experience would remain an inspira-tion for future generations of officials.
Law and Justice Division Secretary Liaquet Ali Molla, Additional Secretary SM Ershadul Alam, Ad-ditional Secretary Md Khadem Ul Kayes, officials and employees from different levels of the divi-sion, as well as the recently promoted and post-retirement leave-bound officials, attended the event.
