Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan yesterday paid a farewell call on President Mohammed Shahabuddin, also the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
During the meeting at Bangabhaban this noon, Admiral M Nazmul Hassan expressed his gratitude to the President for extending cooperation during his tenure.
He also briefed the President on the overall development activities of the Bangladesh Navy.
President thanked the outgoing Navy chief for discharging his duties successfully and efficiently and praised his contribution to the development of the force.
Secretaries concerned to the President’s Office were present.
Admiral M Nazmul Hassan will hand over charge to the new Chief of Naval Staff on July 23.
